My Expectations

Our Medical Management System is designed to help healthcare providers manage clinical operations efficiently and securely.

Workers should arrive on time and ready to begin their shift. I live in a high-rise building with onsite parking available; however, parking requires a sign-on link to make it free. This link will be provided when needed.

Personal care is a required and essential part of this role. Due to cerebral palsy, I require assistance with all aspects of personal care, including showering, toileting, and hygiene, as directed.

Everyone approaches manual handling and personal care differently. I don’t expect perfection immediately, but I do expect workers to listen, follow directions, and be open to learning.

 All workers who work with me are required to sign my service agreement, which outlines fees, policies, and expectations. I pay workers for all hours worked; however, my service agreement also includes terms relating to end-of-service arrangements and termination policies, as these are not covered under the NDIS Price Guide.

Formal qualifications or disability experience are not required, though experienced workers may begin on a higher rate. Workers must hold, or be willing to obtain, the following:
National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check

I require all prospective and current workers to complete mandatory training modules. Click on the link here to where to complete the modules. The modules you need to complete are:

Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals
New Worker NDIS Induction Module

Workers must drive safely when using my vehicle. Any fines are the responsibility of the driver, and drivers at fault in an accident will be responsible for the insurance excess. A valid driver’s licence is required, preferably Green Ps or higher.

I value calm, respectful, and honest communication. If issues arise, I expect them to be discussed calmly and directly with me first so we can work toward a resolution together.

My personal and private information must remain confidential and not be shared with others.

Moose is an accredited assistance dog and maintaining, improving, and broadening his skillset requires consistency across all staff. While suggestions are welcome, all workers are expected to follow my directions and training methods unless discussed otherwise with me first.

Please be upfront about your current client commitments and general availability. While I don’t expect you to cover every additional shift, I do expect reasonable flexibility when possible.

If you have planned leave or holidays, please provide at least one month’s notice so shifts can be covered appropriately.

To protect both myself and the team, please do not come to work if you are unwell.
